So far this robot has been solid, and more so with the sale price I purchased it for. The only thing I am having trouble with is settings on the app, where it wants to wash and dry the mop roller every single time, even when I just set it to vacuum mode. Then I’m stuck 4-5 hours waiting for everything to dry if I wanted to do some other task elsewhere. I’m probably overlooking something, but there is a little bit of a learning curve with am the settings. The mapping worked really well and setting up all the rooms or zones was very easy. Mopping performance is great and even the vacuum results are really good. So far the only tangles of hair have been on the spinning brushes which I have had to clean after each use. This robot is much quieter than an old previous (vacuum only) robot I had and the only really loud noise is the few seconds of self emptying of the dust bin at the base station. So far so good with this new electronic. We’ll see how it holds up over the next year or so.

I have been very impressed with the vacuum I’ve had for just over a week and have not encountered a single issue. It’s not got stuck at all and has managed to transition between my carpets, rugs, and hardwood floors without any problems. I have two cats and a dog, and most of my house has hardwood floors. I generally vacuum multiple times a week, and even with that routine, I still notice grey hairballs swirling around on the floor after a day or two. I’ve been running the Eufy daily for the past week, and it’s excellently keeping up with all the pet hair. I haven’t needed to vacuum manually yet.
I’m particularly impressed with the mapping feature and the speed at which it vacuums and mops. It managed to map my entire house almost perfectly. I had to adjust one of the bedrooms as it only mapped about 1/2 of it on the initial run. When changing the room, the software was slightly confusing, but I figured it out. Regarding cleaning, it’s not perfect, and sometimes spots are missed in corners or along walls and objects; it hits the 80-90% mark and will still save me a lot of time. The mopping feature works excellently as well. I purposely spilled a few things on the floor to test how well it worked and even let some spots dry; it did an excellent job of mopping them up. Since it moves in lines on the central part of the floor, I can see mop lines when it dries and the sunlight hits it, especially on my dark floors. However, I don’t notice it at all on my light floors. I still plan on mopping and vacuuming, but I’ll have to do it much less often with this vacuum.
I’ve owned several other models of automatic vacuums (non-Eufy), but my last one often got stuck on obstacles constantly, and I would have to hunt to find it. Sometimes, it would even die before returning to the charging base. I also frequently forgot to empty the bin, preventing it from running consistently, and eventually, I just gave up on it. That shouldn’t be the case with this one, as it handles much of the maintenance on its own. I’d recommend trying this one if you are looking for an automated solution.

First of all, this is our first foray into robot vacuum/mops, so realize that we have nothing to compare it to. However, we have really liked this vacuum/mop after a week of using and troubleshooting it. It’s really nice to wake up to clean floors!
PROS:
* It is thorough and can detect when an area needs more cleaning.
* It transitions well between hard floors and thicker carpet/rugs and adjusts whether it mops accordingly.
* It self-cleans and empties well.
* It dries the mops thoroughly.
* With a family with three females with long hair, tangling on the brushes hasn’t been a problem.
* It maps the floor plan accurately, and it’s not hard to fine tune it.
CONS/TROUBLESHOOTING:
* It does not get along well with flat-weave or other thin rugs. It’ll suck up the corners at times, and we found it a few mornings stuck and/or dragging around different small, thin rugs. SOLUTIONS: our kitchen rug we just put up every night so the vacuum can still easily clean the kitchen floor. Our dining rug we made its own “room” and set it to not vacuum that on its schedule, we just manually run it during the day. And our front silicone tile mat we made a no-go zone.
* It can’t get over tall transition strips. We have a few very tall transition strips which it can get over one way and not the other. We made those areas no-gos during the normal schedule and/or their own room and just run certain areas during the day.
* While it can just fit through our dining chairs, it’s a tight fit, and occasionally, it tries to take our solid wood chairs down with it. We run that area during the day when we can move the chairs aside.
* Parts of the app aren’t super intuitive. We wanted to mop just a few times a week rather than every day, and it took nearly a week to find that to change that schedule to where it will stick, you have to scroll down from the floor plan view to the bottom. The problem is, it’s not obvious that there’s anything to scroll down to (perhaps because our house is thin and long rather than more square?).
Overall, though, after a week of fine-tuning it, we’ve gotten it to a place that is functional and relatively hands-free. The most we’ve done now is need to replace the water and empty the dirty water. But, it’s been incredibly nice to have clean floors in the morning, so much so that we’re dreaming of one upstairs too someday.
